Raising The Stakes

Well, this is currently our opening track. Mike wrote most of the music, Olly wrote the lyrics, I wrote the solo, and Jack did all the drumming. We all really like this song (I think), and we play it a lot at practices. We recorded it with Live+Direct, and with any luck, if they get their act together, it should be available on www.mp3.com/echored, but I'm not promising anything at the moment, because they are taking absolutely ages to decide whether the songs are acceptable or not. Whatever that may consist of.

I wrote all of this except the drumming (Jack), and the singing tune in the chorus (Sam). It was probably the first good song that I ever really wrote, and I'm very proud of it I guess. This one we also recorded with Live+Direct, and it should also be available at www.mp3.com/echored, some time in the next millenium.

Austin Powers

Oli wrote the bulk of this one, which is a really cool, vaguely Radiohead influenced, rock song. We don't have much else very similar to it at the moment, but we should do soon hopefully, because we all really like it, and it's cool to play. Jack did the drumming, Mike the bass line, and I did my guitar part. I'm afraid you'll have to ask Oli about the name.

Slipstream

This is one that I wrote entirely (except for Jack's drumming as usual). It's quite a soft one with a lot of soloing in it, and some good singing too. It's my personal favourite song at the moment, and hopefully, we should be recording it some time in the near future.

Passport Control

This is quite a recent one. It's another quiet one which Sam sings. Oli wrote the lyrics and quite a large part of the guitaring, Sam wrote the tune, I did some more of the guitaring, Mike did the bass line and of course Jack did the drumming. It's a soft style song and it's quite complex in its layered guitar parts.

For All To See

I wrote all of this one except the drumming, and it's quite a heavy song. It's pretty much the only heavy style song that Sam sings at the moment, but he does it very well. It's a very energy-filled song, which speeds up towards the end.

Besieg'd

I wrote this one apart from Oli's guitar part and Jack's drumming. It's the heaviest song I've written, and it's the only one that I sing at the moment. It's quite a cool song, and it's probably the closest we have to metal.

The Outsider

This is one of our old ones, that I wrote along with Mike. It's quite pop-punkish, and we don't really play it any more, because it's not really our style. But all the same, it was still quite good.
